The New Apple TV

Lets talk entertainment, Apple TV. This little black box of channels now offers so much more than before. For years now I've been watching shows from the internet. First viewing them on  the websites like ABC and CBS and so on. My computer was clearly my for of entertainment and I saw no need for a TV unless my computer was connected to it. Now that's exactly what my set up is and I've always imagined the future through this type of medium.

Apple TV has always been a gleam in my eye. I just didn't think it was something I needed. But imagine the clutter of the huge computer I have set up next to my TV. Yes, I think it's time to move forward to another means of entertainment. And clearly the hockey puck compact styled device is ready to come home.

It comes with iTunes Movies/Music/TV with shows available in HD for an HDTV setup.

HDTV was tricky cause I once downloaded an HD movie thinking I could watch it. I was wrong. Although my Computer was setup with the port for HDTV I had to run out and grab a cable, kind of obvious, but when you're sitting there with popcorn and ready to watch The Matrix in HD it can be a game killer. Bottom line here make sure you pick up the HDMI cable before going home or you're going to be disappointed.

It's definitely ready to entertain you.

Some App Channels included are:

New App Channels are:

You won't be disappointed. If you are you can always stream your iPhotos/Videos watch Vimeo, Flickr , YouTube and more. For the $99 price tag it's worth it. Or you can always adopt a dog for a bit more and have it entertain you.

What do you think of it?

Apple Slows Down Older iPhones

Apple admits slowing down older iPhones. But it's not a part of a conspiracy, it's to fix an issue. Geekbench conducted a test and found the age of batteries affecting iPhone 6, 6s, and 7 to be slowing down. Apple had attempted to fix the problem by slowing down CPU usage, a result that came from iPhones unexpectedly shutting down when the battery approached 30 percent of battery life.   Photo by  rawpixel.com  on  Unsplash To resolve the issue, Apple released iOS 10.2.1 on February 17, 2017. The fix slows down the processing speed to offset and extend battery life. Apple explained to Business Insider : "Lithium-ion batteries become less capable of supplying peak current demands when in cold conditions, have a low battery charge or as they age over time, which can result in the device unexpectedly shutting down to protect its electronic components." Additionally,  Apple advises when using iPhone, iPad, iPod, and Apple Watch to avoid extreme heat

LandGrabbers for iPad

Well this game has me addicted. LandGrabbers is similar to Command and Conquer. You start off with one house and compete against the AI and clock to take over the map. The free download come with about 18 levels, and the $2.99 upgrade doubles that. Time flies taking over the maps. Great game and great price. Highly recommend it at 5/5 stars.

Media Convergence Adapt or Fall Into Extinction

This morning I was catching up on stocks particularly Google's seeing that it's resting at $1,150 while just a year ago it was seemingly leveling around $650. I keep thinking Ads, blogs, search engines and more news companies are adopting and contributing to Google's search engines golden pot at the end of their rainbow. The media convergence is in effect. Around every corner there's always a doomsday scenario about who will survive the new internet medium of the written word to mass media. Would we be reading books anymore and why when we can watch film, worried those concerned in the 1920's and when TV came along in the 50's we almost thought for sure the radio was a goner. Just the other day I was thinking what to do with all those old books, videos, CD's, cassettes and buried somewhere within them a few Kiss 8-tracks and vinyl records much less where to play any of them. Why not just throw them all out or use them for an all out art project because I c
