Apple Slows Down Older iPhones

Apple admits slowing down older iPhones. But it's not a part of a conspiracy, it's to fix an issue. Geekbench conducted a test and found the age of batteries affecting iPhone 6, 6s, and 7 to be slowing down. Apple had attempted to fix the problem by slowing down CPU usage, a result that came from iPhones unexpectedly shutting down when the battery approached 30 percent of battery life.   Photo by  rawpixel.com  on  Unsplash To resolve the issue, Apple released iOS 10.2.1 on February 17, 2017. The fix slows down the processing speed to offset and extend battery life. Apple explained to Business Insider : "Lithium-ion batteries become less capable of supplying peak current demands when in cold conditions, have a low battery charge or as they age over time, which can result in the device unexpectedly shutting down to protect its electronic components." Additionally,  Apple advises when using iPhone, iPad, iPod, and Apple Watch to avoid extreme heat

Photo Stream

If you love taking photos on the go with your iPhone, don't forget to turn on your Photo Stream in your settings. This is a great way to stream your last 1000 photos across all your devices ie. iPod, iPad, computers PC or MAC. Photo Stream also stores your photos in the iCloud. Though I've yet to actually find them in iCloud.com (still awaiting that option). But if you're anything like me running around taking photos of everything eye-catching it's great to see your photos directly linked across your devices. once on your computer you can easily just move your photos into your Events in your iPhotos or any other folder. In your PC there's also a Photo Stream folder created for your photos. It's created when you download iTunes and sign into your iCloud account. Very cool stuff. I remember having to create FTP folders and send photos across or make them available via links. Now it all works. With Photo Stream you can also share any photos with anyone you like

Media Convergence Adapt or Fall Into Extinction

This morning I was catching up on stocks particularly Google's seeing that it's resting at $1,150 while just a year ago it was seemingly leveling around $650. I keep thinking Ads, blogs, search engines and more news companies are adopting and contributing to Google's search engines golden pot at the end of their rainbow. The media convergence is in effect. Around every corner there's always a doomsday scenario about who will survive the new internet medium of the written word to mass media. Would we be reading books anymore and why when we can watch film, worried those concerned in the 1920's and when TV came along in the 50's we almost thought for sure the radio was a goner. Just the other day I was thinking what to do with all those old books, videos, CD's, cassettes and buried somewhere within them a few Kiss 8-tracks and vinyl records much less where to play any of them. Why not just throw them all out or use them for an all out art project because I c

iPhone Sending Message Stalls

This ever happen to you? Notice how it took up 3 minutes before I decided to do something about it.  1. I closed all apps. Didn't work.  2. Applied Airplane Mode and turned it back on. Didn't work. 3. Deleted all messages in the conversation. Didn't work.  As a matter of fack the only thing that will work is powering down and powering back up again. Then found my messages looking like this: I tapped the exclamation point and tried sending again and I was back in business. Hope this helps.
